Lecture
We will be covering sections 2.1-2.5, 2.7-2.10, 3.1-3.6, 4.1-4.5,
4.7-4.9, 6.1-6.6 and 6.8 from Stein and Barcellos.

Homework
Homework will be posted here. Please check regularly.
Absolutely no late homework
will be accepted.
Disclaimer: Homework is assigned to give you practice with the
material covered in the lectures. Homework will be due every Monday
and Wednesday. The assigned homework problems are the minimum
necessary to understand the material in the course. Do the problems
carefully. Only few randomly chosen problems will be graded and little
or no partial credit will be given. To receive full credit you must
show your work in a neat and orderly fashion and do ALL the assigned
problems.
Print the following information in the top right corner of your paper:

and fold your paper lengthwise.
I strongly recommend that you do homework every day, not just before
it is due.
Quizzes
3 quizzes, each around 10-20 minutes.
No Calculators.
Covering material for the current week's lecture.
For example, June 24, 2004 QUIZ will cover

There will be no make-up quizzes.

Midterm
2 midterms.
No Calculators.
Midterm 1: Covers lectures from June 21, 2004 to June 30, 2004.
Midterm 2: Covers lectures from July 6, 2004 to July 14, 2004.
Each midterm will take the whole period (1 hour 40 minutes).
There will be no make-up midterms.
